My Children

I have 3 cats and an Amazon parrot. They are my children. They are the loves of my life, and I wake up every day for them. My kitties are all siblings, adopted at the same time and were from the same Mom.

Sprite is my son. He has a goof-ball personality. He is very vocal, and will do somersaults when he wants you to scratch his belly. Yes, he flips body over head. It is the funniest thing you will ever see. I can't seem to catch him on camera though. He is a Russian Blue - meaning he's all grey.

Violet is my daughter. He has an aloof personality, like the stereotypical cat. She will come to you if she wants. She loves being pet and hangs out in the bathroom most of the time. Every time I take a shower, she's right there waiting to get into the tub when I'm done. She is all black, with randomly placed, single white hairs.

Lily is my other daughter. She is the Mamma's baby. She is very skittish, but very loveable. She can't stand not being by me. When I'm gone, she hangs out in my room until I come back. I cannot go to the bathroom alone. She will push the door open or scratch at it until I let her in. She likes to drink directly from the sink faucet, and uses her paw to drink from. I believe she was the runt of the pack.

Frioli is my other son. He's a yellow headed Amazon parrot. We were told he was born in 1978, which makes him 3 years older than I am. He's had 2 families before us. His first family gave him up after 5 years. His 2nd family gave him to us after 25 years. Many people don't understand that a parrot; especially larger parrots, are lifetime commitments. I am dedicated to be his last family. He still has another 30 years left, and I refuse to abandon him. He loves me and can't stand not being around me. When I have to leave, he calls for me until I get back. I've recorded my voice to play for him when I'm gone. I'm his person, and he's my son. Who happens to be older than me lol.
